The 20 Pound Club is a club dedicated the
hardcore (and fortunate) fly anglers who manage
to successfully land and release a tiger fish
of 20lb or over on fly.
As of August 2008 this had not yet been achieved
in the previous half century fly fisherman
have been targeting tigers on fly.
The discovery of the Duma Fishery (Mnyera
and Rhudji Rivers) at this time brought this
statistic tumbling down! 2009 will be the
fist full season that adventurous fly fisherman
and women from around the globe will have
very controlled access to this one of a kind
fishery, and the opportunity to join the,
soon to be esteemed, 20 Pound Club.
This page pays homage to these fly fishermen
and women and celebrates their accomplishment
of landing a 20lb plus tiger fish on fly –
arguably one of the toughest feats to achieve
in the world of fly fishing.
