4 Day Transkei Coastal Explore
Day 1: (Durban to Kilroe Cottage) Depart from Durban Thursday morning and travel to Kilroe Beach arriving around lunchtime. Accommodation will be in Kilroe Cottage. Lunch will be served at Kilroe. The remainder of the afternoon will be spent exploring the coastline, shark fishing from Hamilton's or Danger Point or simply relaxing. Supper will be a high carbohydrate meal, served at Kilroe Cottage. LD 
Day 2: (Kilroe to Luphuthana Coastal Walk) Rising with the sun, breakfast will be served at Kilroe Cottage. After the bags have been packed, the days walking will commence. Walking this stretch of coastline will take us across Kilroe Beach, Port Grosvenor and Goss's arriving early afternoon at Luphuthana Cottage, our accommodation for the night. The walk for today is 12 kilometres in length. Highlights of the day are the rugged coastline and the wreck of the BBC China. A picnic style lunch will be served en route. Afternoon is free time where one can relax and take in the picturesque surroundings or part take in an afternoon's fishing at the legendary spot - Top Hat. Dinner will be a braai at Luphuthana Cottage. BLD Day 3: (Luphuthana to Mbotyi) Rising early, a hearty breakfast will be served at Luphuthana Cottage before commencing the days walk. Over the course of the days walk we will cover approximately 10km, arriving mid afternoon at Mbotyi. Highlights of the day will be the spectacular Waterfall bluff, Cathedral rock, massive sea cliffs, and rolling coastal forests of Mbotyi. Lunch will be served en route while enjoying an awe inspiring view over the ocean. Arriving early afternoon at Mbotyi the rest of the afternoon will be free time when one can rest wary legs or spend some time relaxing on the beach or partaking in a bit of fishing. Supper will be served at Mbotyi cottage. BLD 
Day 4: Sunday 11th June (Mbotyi to Durban) Sunday morning will be spent as free time. A hearty Brunch will be served before departing mid Morning on the return trip to Durban. B Note: For those wanting extra beach time, this trip can be extended to include 1-3 extra nights at Mbotyi Cottage.
Price Includes: All transport, accommodation, meals where specified, teas coffees and fruit juice with breakfast, services of professional and qualified guides, five sets of diving gear, fishing tackle. Price Excludes: Soft drinks and alcohol, items of a personal nature. |
